Depuis que j'ai mon Ipad, j'aime bien consulter les livres de recettes disponibles en E-book. J'adore encore le format "papier", mais mes armoires craquent et ranger des livres virtuels ne prend aucune place physique ! Cette recette provient d'un E-book disponible sur Ibooks store. Plusieurs recettes me donnaient envie et j'ai opté pour celle-ci et nous n'avons pas été déçue. Cela s'annonce donc très bien pour le reste du livre !
Puisque je n'avais pas et ne connaissais pas le caramel au beurre salé Salidou, j'ai utilisé ma recette de caramel à tartiner. Je publierais cette recette la prochaine fois.

Pour 2 douzaines de biscuits
COOKIES AU CARAMEL
Ingrédients :
100 g de beurre mou, non salé
120 g de sucre de canne (moi : cassonade)
1 œuf
2 cuillères à soupe de caramel au beurre salé (Salidou) (moi : caramel maison)
240 g de farine
1 pincée de sel
1/2 cuillère à café de bicarbonate de soude
1/2 cuillère à café de poudre à pâte
60 g de pépites de caramel
La main à la pâte :
Défaire le beurre et le sucre à la fourchette.
Ajouter l’œuf et le caramel.
Brasser pour rendre homogène et onctueux.
Ajouter les autres ingrédients et bien mélanger pour former une belle boule de pâte.
Former des boules de pâte de la grosseur d'une noix et placer sur une plaque à pâtisserie, garnie d'un papier parchemin.
Réfrigérer 30 minutes.
Préchauffer le four à 280 F (140 C).
Enlever le surplus de boules de façon à ne pas trop les serrer pour la cuisson. Réserver au frais.
Enfourner pendant 20 minutes.
Laisser les biscuits refroidir avant de la transférer sur une grille.
Verdict : super "chewy" comme dirait les Américains. Un goût très prononcé de caramel. Pour caramel-addict seulement !
